ScyllaDB Raises $43 Million in Funding

ScyllaDB, a Palo, Alto, CA-based startup that specializes in database technology for high-throughput, low-latency workloads, has raised $43 million in funding. To date, the startup has raised $103 million in venture capital.

The round was led by Eight Roads Ventures. 

Eight Roads Ventures is a global venture capital firm managing $11bn of assets across offices in the UK, China, India, Japan, and the US. Backed by Fidelity, the firm invests in technology and healthcare companies in Asia, Europe, Israel, and the US.

ScyllaDB Use of Funds

The funds will be put towards accelerating Scylla DB's momentum and expanding the size of its 168-person team.
