ScorePlay, a Lisbon-based B2B sports-tech SaaS company closed over €500,000, bringing the total pre-seed funding to over €1 million.
The round was led by Mario Götze (business angel/ World Cup Winner) and Another.vc, a German VC.
The first round was made up of several notable angel investors, including Nicolas Julia (CEO of Sorare), David Apple (ex-Notion & Typeform), and Omar DaFonseca (ex-Soccer player, BeIn Commentator) and Kima Ventures, an early-stage French VC, which invested in Holly Health and Rayon.
The fresh funds will be used by ScorePlay to further target the US and German markets with a new growth manager, furthering the tech team and marketing spend.
It will add more clients in addition to the already existing ones in the US and DACH regions, including Orlando Pride, SD Wave, KC Current, 1. FC Köln, and Team BDS, among others.
