Raiser Raises £26,000 Pre-seed
Raiser, a Manchester-based technology startup, has secured £26,000 in Pre-Seed funding to advance its AI-powered grant-matching engine. The company focuses on building shared data infrastructure to improve how charities and funders connect, moving away from keyword-reliant systems toward a meaning-based matching approach.
Investors
The funding comes from individual business angels, including Daryl Upsall, a former adviser to the founders of JustGiving, who has joined Raiser as an investor and ambassador. Other supporters include experienced figures in philanthropy and the charity sector. The company also received innovation funding from the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub.
Raiser Use of Funds
The company will use the capital to support the development of its AI-enabled matching technology and intellectual property, including co-design sessions with five frontline charities and five funders to shape the next stage of its service.
