QuestDB, a San Francisco, CA-based open-source SQL database designed to process time-series data, faster, raised $12 million in a Series A round to support expanding the features of its time-series database, while also launching a database-as-a-service (DBaaS) for customers who want to use the database without managing servers.
The round was led by 468 Capital, with participation from Uncorrelated Ventures and more than 15 enterprise open-source founders and executives to grow their team, increase product development and accelerate adoption.
The infusion of funds will support continued growth and drive product innovation, building up support and success functions to meet expanding user demand. This round also allows the engineering team behind QuestDB to develop new features for its cloud-native database and launch a DBaaS platform that offers fully managed time-series database solutions.
