Prime Intellect, a San Francisco-based startup that provides infrastructure and specialized software tools to help enterprises build their own custom AI agents, has raised $130 million in a Series A funding round at a $1 billion valuation. The company aims to empower organizations to develop and train their own agentic systems without dependence on closed frontier AI labs.

The round was led by Radical Ventures. Additional participating investors included Nvidia Ventures, Intel Capital, Dell Technologies Capital, Iconiq, and a group of angel investors including Aravind Srinivas (Perplexity), Aaron Levie (Box), Winston Weinberg (Harvey), Jeff Wang (Cognition), and Brendan Foody (Mercor).
Prime Intellect Use of Funds
The new capital will be used to further develop its platform, which functions as a full-stack solution for AI agent development, including compute access, a reinforcement learning framework, and evaluation tools, to support its growing list of enterprise customers.
