Perplexity, a San Francisco, CA-based AI-powered search company, has secured $62.7 million in Series B1 funding, valuing the company at more than $1 billion.
The company has introduced Perplexity Enterprise Pro for B2B, catering to enterprise demand with enhanced security and control.

The round was led by Daniel Gross, with participation from new investors including Stanley Druckenmiller, Garry Tan, Dylan Field, Brad Gerstner, Laude Capital, Lip-Bu Tan, and Jakob Uszkoreit.
Existing investors such as Jeff Bezos, NVIDIA, Tobi Lutke, Elad Gil, Nat Friedman, Naval Ravikant, Andrej Karpathy, IVP, and NEA have also reaffirmed their support.
Daniel Gross is the Co-Founder of Pioneer. He previously worked at Y Combinator as a Head of AI.
Perplexity Use of Funds
The company will use the funds for global expansions, with partnerships extending Perplexity's reach to Japan and Germany through SoftBank and Deutsche Telekom.
