
Leta, a Kenya-based logistics software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, has raised $5 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Speedinvest, with additional backing from Google’s Africa Investment Fund and Equator, an Africa-focused climate tech fund. This brings Leta’s total funding raised to $8 million.
Founded in 2011 and based in Vienna, Austria, Speedinvest is a venture capital firm that focuses on seed and Series A investments in early-stage startups across sectors such as fintech, digital health, enterprise software, consumer tech, and deep tech. The firm also offers hands-on support to help startups with strategy, scaling, and business development. As of January 2024, Speedinvest's total assets under management (AUM) exceeded €1 billion.
Leta Use of Funds
The company plans to use the funds to scale its AI-powered logistics platform and expand its presence into more countries across Africa and the Middle East.
