Jem, a South African workforce management startup, has secured $8.4 million in Series A funding to expand its WhatsApp-based platform. The company provides a unified workforce management solution designed specifically for frontline employees.

Investors

The round was led by Quona Capital, an emerging markets fintech investor. Additional participants included University Technology Fund, E4E, and Next176/FutureGrowth, along with angel investors such as former Old Mutual CEO Iain Williamson.
