GlossGenius, a New York-based platform designed for salons and spas to handle bookings and payments, raised $28 million in Series C funding, bringing its total raised to $70 million valued at $510 million.
The round was led by L Catterton, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and Imaginary Ventures.
The funds will be allocated towards creating new products that cater to the needs of business owners in the beauty and wellness industries. Additionally, the company plans to invest in strengthening key areas within the GlossGenius team.
GlossGenius offers a vertical software-embedded payments app exclusively aimed at the beauty and wellness industry. The platform allows businesses to manage workflows across their back and front offices, including payments, bookings, inventory expenses, and marketing.
The platform's card reader can be customized to match businesses' branding, providing a seamless customer experience. GlossGenius claims to have over 60,000 spas and beauty salons using its platform, handling billions of dollars in transactions annually.
