FLINTpro, a Canberra, Australia-based carbon accounting and land analysis firm, closed $13.5 million in Series A funding, which will expand the company's presence in the North American market.
The round was led by Understorey Ventures, joined by new investors Pollination and Persei Venture, as well as existing backers Ananta-OM and Synovia Capital.
With its SaaS platform, FLINTpro aims to simplify natural capital reporting by integrating multiple data sources and providing visualizations that enable accurate measurement of carbon emissions and land sustainability.
The company's SaaS platform offers a comprehensive tool that consolidates disparate carbon measurements into a single visualization tool, helping clients track emissions and validate their sustainability claims.
“As the climate and natural capital reporting become mainstream, organizations are finding that there is no single technology or data source that can meet all their needs,” says Dr. Robert Waterworth. “FLINTpro solves this problem by integrating multiple streams of data, including best-in-class soil and biomass estimates, to simplify natural capital reporting for carbon, greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity, water, and soil.”
FLINTpro's SaaS platform is utilized by various clients in Australia, including the NSW Department of Primary Industries, the Grain Producers of South Australia, the Australian Agriculture Company (AACo), and the Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre.
