Corgea Raises $2.5 Million in Seed Round

Corgea, a San Francisco, CA-based cybersecurity startup specializing in AI-driven vulnerability detection and remediation, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding. 

Investors 

The round was led by Shorooq Partners, with additional backing from Y Combinator, Decacorn Capital, Unbound Ventures, and prominent angel investors like YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim and SecurityScoreCard co-founder Sam Kassoumeh. 

Founded in 2017, Shorooq is a venture capital and credit investment firm that focuses on innovative tech companies across MENA and beyond. Built on close partnerships with founders, Shorooq maintains a strong local presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Korea. 

Corgea Use of Funds 

Corgea plans to use the funding to expand its presence in the U.S. and Middle East, further enhancing its developer-centric, enterprise-compliant platform.
