Bolster, a Santa Clara, CA-based multi-channel phishing protection, has raised $14 million in Series B funding, bringing its total funding to over $40 million.
Investors
The round was led by M12, Microsoft's venture fund, with participation from existing investors Thomvest Ventures, Crosslink Capital, Liberty Global Ventures, Cheyenne Ventures, Cervin Ventures, and Transform Capital.
M12 is Microsoft's venture capital fund, which invests in early-stage technology companies disrupting the enterprise. Founded in 2016, the firm seeks to invest in companies operating in cloud infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, developer tools, vertical SaaS, web3, and gaming. The firm uses its deep expertise and extensive platform to help early-stage companies in those key thesis areas accelerate growth and build strategic partnerships.
Bolster Use of Funds
The company will use the funding to accelerate go-to-market (GTM) and technology integrations for the generative AI platform that defends against phishing and impersonation.
With the new funding, Bolster plans to invest in GTM initiatives that strategically prioritize executive monitoring, business email compromise (BEC) attack detection and takedown, and threat-hunting automation.
