Astromech Raises $20M at $3.8B Valuation

Astromech, a Dallas, Texas-based computational biology and predictive artificial intelligence startup, has raised $20 million in new funding, bringing its total capital raised to $60 million at a valuation of $3.8 billion.

Investors

The funding round was led by Bob Nelsen, co-founder of ARCH Venture Partners, with participation from NeoGenesis Capital, Builders VC, and a syndicate of genomics-focused venture funds.

Astromech Use of Funds

The company will use the capital to expand its specialized machine learning and computational biology research teams, acquire new multi-species genomic datasets, and build out the heavy computing infrastructure required to scale its foundational AI models.
